K. Michelle Sellers is a writer, artist and filmmaker. Michelle was born and raised in Oakland, CA. She started writing as a child and used it as a catharsis. She wrote for Tuxedo, Dominican University’s literary magazine. Michelle enjoys writing both poetry and prose and can almost write anything. She is always at a cafe, and if paper and pen isn’t present….there is always a napkin handy.
In her first short film, Web of Guilt, Michelle tells the story of a young woman, Simone who is an artist/singer songwriter who lives in a toxic environment. It is the struggle of those elements that makes Simone question her own dreams.
Michelle has traveled to France, Spain, Philippines, Brazil and Canada. And of course, her latest trip, to Black Rock City…aka Burning Man.
